The Sinner's Heart (30 Days of Poetry)
Hey, guys! I've decided to do a 30 day series of poetry videos that I wrote and recorded myself. I hope you enjoy them! Please watch the videos because they give a little bit of background and explanation for where the poems came from.
P.S. DO NOT STEAL MY POEMS. Thanks! :)

The Sinner's Heart 19 October 2014
by Ariel Douglas
You know that something's wrong,
You've known it all along.
You're searching and searching,
Falling, tripping, lurching,
For help, for something to fill the hole inside.
Not wanting judgement you try to hide
All of the boiling conflict in your heart.
We all see you falling apart,
But no one takes the time to see
All that you're trying not to be.
You think that you're a good person,
But that's not what counts, never taught that lesson.
You come to us for the rumored grace,
Mercy, love, and kindness, but we spit in your face.
"How dare you," we shout. "We know what you've done!
What makes YOU think that you can just come?"
You turn away hurt and dejected,
Why is it that we're better and you are rejected?
What right do we have, you ask yourself,
To say that we're good and put you on a shelf?
We don't deserve it and neither do you,
So you do what you always do.
Try and find another way,
And then you die one day.
And because of our self-righteousness,
You go away to eternal death.
And we carry-on our merry way,
Ignoring what God has to say.
And when we die ourselves,
God will make us give account
For your lost soul that we rejected
And we will grieve just as expected.
We should live to prevent this end,
By loving all of the ones that God sends.
